This is just a quick blog to let you know that I am still alive. I have been extremely busy with school so I haven’t found time to work on Broken Fall, but I will do my best not to put it on hiatus. I’ve never really understood why people put their sites on hiatus, but now I can see a valid reason.
So a quick update about what has been going on in my life. Thank you for all the sweet comments on my last blog (which I will return eventually of course). I am feeling better and my friend and I have made up. My mom and I have not fought lately either.
The fall robotics season started yesterday, so I will be even more busy now. On top of the usual homework, I will be doing robotics for at least twelve hours a week. I know I can manage this, but there is a question of if I can maintain the site in the midst of it all. As much as I love working on my site, it just doesn’t seem very reasonable at the moment. There are deadlines I have to meet for university applications, scholarship applications, and contests too. It’s all very stressful.
On one application I was asked which of my activities I would continue if I could only do one. I wrote about my website and how I love it because I can express myself through it and make connections with people from around the world, in more words of course. I was serious about what I said; it really would be terrible if I had to close my website. That will not happen. There are a lot of things that need to be prioritized ahead of website work right now, but this situation won’t last forever.
Besides, Broken Fall will be one year old on October 26th! Although it was not named Broken Fall when my site was opened last year, I still consider October 26th to be its birthday/anniversary because it is simply the same site as my original Woolisauce, but with a different name.
Anyways, there will be some kind of contest to celebrate, so look forward to that come October!
One more reason to keep my site open.
